A hybrid percolation transition at a finite transition point in scale-free networks

چکیده
Percolation transition (PT) means the formation of a macroscopic-scale large cluster, which exhibits continuous transition. However, when growth clusters is globally suppressed, type PT changed to discontinuous for random networks. A question arises as whether also scale-free (SF) network, because existence hubs incites giant cluster. Here, we apply global suppression rule static model SF networks, and investigate properties PT. We find that even networks with degree exponent $2 < \lambda <3$, hybrid occurs at finite point $t_c$, can control by strength. The order parameter jumps $t_c^-$ critical behavior $t_c^+$.

Scale-free networks with a large- to hypersmall-world transition
Recently there have been a tremendous interest in models of networks with a power-law distribution of degree— so called “scale-free networks.” It has been observed that such networks, normally, have extremely short pathlengths, scaling logarithmically or slower with system size. As en exotic and unintuitive example we propose a simple stochastic model capable of generating scale-free networks w...

متن کاملWidth of percolation transition in complex networks.
It is known that the critical probability for the percolation transition is not a sharp threshold. Actually it is a region of nonzero width Deltap(c) for systems of finite size. Here we present evidence that for complex networks Deltap(c) approximately p(c)/l, where l approximately Nnu(opt), where is the average length of the percolation cluster, and N is the number of nodes in the network. For...
متن کاملAsymmetric percolation drives a double transition in sexual contact networks.
Zika virus (ZIKV) exhibits unique transmission dynamics in that it is concurrently spread by a mosquito vector and through sexual contact. Due to the highly asymmetric durations of infectiousness between males and females-it is estimated that males are infectious for periods up to 10 times longer than females-we show that this sexual component of ZIKV transmission behaves akin to an asymmetric ...
متن کاملSynchronization transition in scale-free networks: clusters of synchrony.
We study the synchronization transition in scale-free networks that display power-law asymptotic behaviors in their degree distributions. The critical coupling strength and the order-parameter critical exponent derived by the mean-field approach depend on the degree exponent lambda, which implies a close connection between structural organization and the emergence of dynamical order in complex ...
